How to Participate: 

This class is hosted online. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with a link and details on how to join. I'll be baking from my home in Brooklyn, New York. Anyone with the ingredients can participate from their own kitchen.

What you'll do:

We'll start with the basics of making cookies from scratch and what are some tips to make them extra delicious. Then, we will learn how to stuff the cookies, so you can make fun-filled cookies at home. The possibilities of what you can stuff will become endless!

Lastly, we will go over some fun ways to decorate the cookies! Note that because I believe freezing cookies before baking is incredibly important, the class will end with the cookies going into the freezer, but I will review everything you need to know for baking and decorating after your cookies are baked.

What you'll need:

Food Items:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking powder
  • Baking soda
  • Sea salt (preferably)
  • Unsalted butter at room temperature
  • White granulated sugar
  • Dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • Pure vanilla extract
  • Heavy cream (substitute options: whipping cream, or preferably whole milk, otherwise, alternatively skim, oat, soy or almond milk will work as well)
  • Chocolate chips (if possible, 2 sizes mini and regular-sized)
  • Stuffing for cookie (such as Nutella, peanut butter, marshmallow, chocolate ganache)

Equipment:

  • A stand mixer (or hand mixer) with a paddle attachment
  • Small and large mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • Kitchen scale or measuring cups / measuring spoons
  • Plastic wrap
