What you'll need:
- 2 (14 ounce) cans coconut milk or coconut cream
- 2 cups packed pitted medjool dates
- 1 (10 ounces) or 4 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup vegan butter
- 1 cup cane sugar, plus more for sprinkling
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- 6 tablespoons vanilla or plain non-dairy creamer
- ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
