Learn how to fill, frost, and get the sharpest edges on a three-layered square cake. How to achieve black buttercream using minimal food coloring, and then once chilled cut into the cake and create a beautiful blingy sprinkle geode. Take your cakes or business to the next level by creating this unique cake design.
What you'll need:
Food Items Checklist:
Three layers of any square cake sponges
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Full fat milk
Sprinkles of choice
Super Black Food Color (Wilton Color Right or Americolor Duper Black recommended)
Square Acrylic discs (if possible)
Tall Cake Smoother
Microwave safe bowl
2 Piping Bags (16”)
Small sharp kitchen knife
*Anything that has to be ready before the class starts.
The three square cake layers have to be baked and chilled before the class.
Take out the butter 20-30 minutes before the class begins.
