How to Participate:
This class is hosted online. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with a link and details on how to join. I'll be baking from my home in Idaho. Anyone with the ingredients can participate from their own kitchen.
What you'll do:
We will be learning the basics of making macarons and common troubleshooting. Sheri will also open up the class for a Q&A session at the end, so have your questions ready!
What you'll need:
Food Items:
- Large eggs
- Powdered egg whites
- Superfine almond flour
- Powdered sugar
- White granulated sugar
- Lemon juice
- Strawberry preserves (or filling of choice)
- White chocolate chips
- Heavy cream
Equipment:
- Stand mixer (or hand mixer) with whisk attachment
- Small saucepan
- Candy thermometer (or infrared gun)
- Kitchen scale
- Fine meshed sieve
- Small and large mixing bowls
- Silicone macaron mats
- Piping tip - Wilton No. 2A
- 16 inch and 12 inch piping bags
- Cookie scribe or toothpick
- Oven thermometer
- Rubber spatula
