How to Participate:
This class is hosted online. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with a link and details on how to join. I'll be baking from my home in Idaho. Anyone with the ingredients can participate from their own kitchen.
What you'll do:
You will learn everything about royal icing, troubleshooting, tips and tricks to decoarete beautiful cookies. Keep your ingredients ready and decorate along with the rest of the class. Get all your questions answered live and learn from one of the best cookie decorators in an interactive class!
What you'll need:
Food Items:
- 2 lb powdered sugar and more if needed (sifted optional)
- 4 1/2 tbsp meringue powder
- 1/4 cup strained fresh lemon juice or water
- 1/4 cup + 2tbsp tap water
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Vinegar
- 1 tsp cream of tartar (optional)
- 1 tsp Almond extract (optional)
- White Food Coloring (optional)
Equipment:
- Stand mixer (or hand mixer) with whisk attachment
- Paper towel/kitchen towel
- Small mixing bowls
- Spatula
- Piping bags
- Petal tip #101 and leaf tip #52 (optional)
- Flower nail
- Wax paper
- Parchment or wax paper
- Toothpick or a scribe tool
- Spray bottle/dropper
- Black edible marker of black gel food color
- Fine tip food only paint brush
- Food colors (I will be using pink, yellow, green, purple)
- Sugar cookie to decoarete or you can decorate on parchment paper (I will be using a Pineapple shaped cookie)
- Food wrap
- Double sided tape (optional)
- Timer (optional)
