In this class, students will learn how to make French Macarons from scratch and a Swiss meringue buttercream.
Students will learn how to assemble and fill their French macarons and how to store them correctly.
Food Items Checklist:
- Egg whites
- Unsalted Butter
- Granulated Sugar
- Almond Flour (finely ground)
- Confectioners sugar (Powdered sugar)
- Food gel colors (optional)
- Vanilla extract (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Sifter or medium sized wire basket to sift your dry ingredients
- Parchment paper
- Stand mixer or hand mixer and 5 quart bowl with whip attachment
- Spatula
- Piping tip (round tip)
- Scissors
- Pan spray
- 3 quart saucepan and a bowl that fits on top that can be used as a double boiler
- Whisk
- Thermometer (digital is recommended)
- Piping bags
- Dish towel
