How to Participate: 

This class is hosted online. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with a link and details on how to join. I'll be baking from my home in New York. Anyone with the ingredients can participate from their own kitchen.

What you'll do:

In this live class I’ll teach you how to create a beautiful royal icing brush embroidered cookie embellished with gold luster dust. We’ll talk about icing consistency and how to solve common problems that can arise when working with royal icing.

What you'll need:

Food Items Checklist:

  • 3 to 3-½” round cookie flooded in royal icing and completely dry in the color of your choice (at least one but as many as you want for practicing)
  • Stiff consistency royal icing in the same color as the cookie
  • Gold luster dust
  • Vodka, grain alcohol, or any flavor extract for painting

Equipment:

  • Decorating bag
  • Coupler (optional)
  • Decorating tip 2 or 3
  • Bag tie or rubber band
  • Decorator brush - fine tip or square tip 
  • Flower Template (optional)
  • Dish of water
  • Small dish or palette for mixing luster dust
  • Scribe tool, two-in-one tool, toothpick, or wooden skewer
  • Scissors to cut decorating bag tip
  • Damp paper towel
  • Dry paper towel
