I am Joanne Mosconi, the daughter of the legendary Chef of Greenwich Village, Pietro Mosconi. From the time I could walk and talk, I have been alongside my father watching and helping him cook and create culinary masterpieces in his famous NYC Italian restaurants, Villa Mosconi and Monte’s Trattoria. Everyone who meets my father absolutely loves him! He is more than just a chef or restaurateur- Chef Pietro Mosconi, is the heart and soul of Greenwich Village, NYC. In 2015, my father suffered a life threatening heart attack. Driven by my passion for Italian cuisine and my father’s story, I returned to NYC from Los Angeles and attended the prestigious International Culinary Center and I earned my professional culinary degree. I immediately began working with my father to capture all his recipes and wrote his cookbook called: The Chef of Greenwich Village. This year during quarantine, my father and I collaborated and launched a unique online cooking school called Coast to Coast Kitchen. Our online courses offer professional but entertaining classes focusing on various authentic Italian dishes.
