David Bank was born and raised in Ratchaburi and started his culinary career in his wife’s family restaurant in Thailand. He moved to New York in 1995 and began training with notable chefs Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Tadashi Ono. After solidifying his reputation within New York City kitchens, David and his wife Vanida opened their first of many restaurants: Land Thai Kitchen in 2005 and have since established the notable and award-winning Pure Thai Cookhouse, along with the recently opened Taladwat - Thai Countryside Cooking.
